MY SUNDAY

Image
Theme: Walking Humbly with Our God – Living a Life That Pleases God Main Scriptures: Micah 6:1-8, Luke 10:25-35 This Sunday’s message was a beautiful reminder of what truly matters to God. The preacher emphasized that God is not impressed by outward religion, big sacrifices, or empty routines. Instead, what pleases Him is simple: ๐Ÿ‘‰ To act justly ๐Ÿ‘‰ To love mercy ๐Ÿ‘‰ To walk humbly with our God From Micah 6:1-8, we learned that God desires hearts that pursue justice, show kindness, and remain humble before Him. It’s not about showing off or trying to earn His approval—it’s about living a life that genuinely reflects His character. The message was beautifully tied to Luke 10:25-35, the story of the Good Samaritan. It challenged us to ask: Who are we overlooking? Are we really living out mercy in our daily lives? The preacher reminded us that walking humbly with God is practical. It means stepping out to help those in need, showing compassion, and choosing love even when ...

After the shock Frazar’s mother immediately dialed the emergency number to tell the police about what had just happened but the police told her they weren’t going to send people out there to deal with some dog. So Frazar’s mother decided she would just treat her son’s wounds until this dog like creature had left and then once it had , she would get him a ride to the hospital however as Frazar and his mom stared out of the window at this creature…it didn’t leave ,it just sat there staring back at Frazar’s and his mother with these hideous human eyes for hours and hours . Finally in the morning it was gone, the attack of Frazar was the last straw for the people of the village. They believed the creature that had bit his face was the demon beast that had hurt so many of other people  and so the elders of Frazar’s village came up with a plan of how to deal with this beast and so a few after the attack on Frazar ,this group of elders went off on a journey up into that mountain that Fraz...

The Limpopo Beast PART II

Image
Some stories are forgotten. Some stories are misunderstood. And some—like Frazar’s—grow darker the deeper you go. What really happened that night? What was the creature? In Part Two, the pieces of this terrifying puzzle begin to reveal themselves.  Frazar did his best to think about the chores he needed to do for his mother once he got home instead of thinking about the beast, but he’d only been on this path for about 300 feet when he suddenly heard a rustling behind him and so right away Frazar stopped and turned around and looked where the noise was coming from but all he saw was darkness …there was nothing there and so Frazar for a whole minute just stood there staring out into the tree line waiting for something to move but nothing did and so Frazar told himself he was just being paranoid and everything was fine.        Frazar turned back around and kept on walking but pretty quickly his walk turned into jog and he was almost to the end of this part a...

The Limpopo Beast PART I

A BEAST THAT TERRORIZES A SMALL SOUTH AFRICAN VILLAGE  On the evening of August 2015,a twenty year old man named Frazar Baloyi walked alone down a main road towards his village chavani in the South African province of Limpopo . Frazar was on his way home from work and he was pretty desperate to get there. It was only about 7:30 PM and usually around this time Frazar was used to seeing other people out and about on this road just kind of walking around in the dusk or or chatting or doing various errands but tonight there was nobody out there and in fact in recent days this area of Limpopo has basically become a ghost town . Nobody went out unless they have to because over the last 10 days over 20 people in this area has been has been brutally mauled .The victims had all insisted that the creature that had mauled them was some kind of four legged demon and they had begun calling it THE BEAST   Now Frazar considered himself a pretty level headed person who didn’t necessaril...

Peek-a-Boo! The Elephant Who Forgot How Big He Was

Image
A Sweet Story from Thailand — In a quiet village in Thailand, surrounded by tall sugarcane fields, something adorable—and a little mischievous—happened one peaceful night. A curious baby elephant, driven by the irresistible smell of fresh sugarcane, wandered into the plantation, ready for a secret midnight feast. For a while, the little elephant happily munched on the sweet stalks, completely unaware that nearby farmers had noticed. When the lights and voices suddenly pointed its way, the baby elephant froze. In its little heart, it knew it had been caught. Panicking, the elephant did what seemed like the perfect escape plan—it rushed to the nearest “hiding spot” it could find: a thin wooden pole. With its head tucked behind the pole and its back still completely visible, the elephant genuinely believed it was invisible. It thought, “If I can’t see them, surely they can’t see me either.” The farmers, instead of being angry, couldn’t help but laugh softly. They watched the little one’s ...

Can Love Break Religious Boundaries?

Image
Is the Power of Love Greater Than the Power of Religion? Love and religion—two forces that have shaped human lives, built civilizations, and sparked both unity and conflict throughout history. But when these two collide, which one holds more power? Which one truly leads the heart? Throughout the ages, people have made difficult choices between love and religious expectations. Some have left their homes, families, or faith traditions for the sake of love. Others have sacrificed great love stories to remain faithful to their religion. It’s a question that doesn’t have one simple answer—it’s a journey that depends on the person, the belief, and the depth of their love. Religion has the power to guide us, give life meaning, and offer community. It sets rules, provides comfort, and answers questions that love cannot always solve. In many ways, religion is seen as eternal, something bigger than any individual. But love is also powerful. It crosses cultures, languages, and somet...
